30 Days To Habit

Updated: Dec 23, 2020

A wise lady once told me if you repeat an action every day for thirty days, it would be a habit at that point. It was actually my dental hygienist, and she was giving me suggestions on flossing my teeth every day. She was right about that; I floss after every meal now. Does it hold true in other areas? We'll see if it works for blogging.

This is where I put in a photo of my dog, even though this post has nothing to do with any of my dogs. But, let's face it, I know it's the only reason some of you are here. And that doesn't offend me in the least; sometimes all I want to do is look at pictures of my dogs. Here's an oldie of Chevy & Roscoe. We'll look together.

I'm not a blogger. Not yet anyway. I'm coming from FB, where I can type a thought or two and call it a post. Blogging feels more like.....high school English class. I need a topic for my paper. I need a good opening sentence, then three supporting paragraphs to back it up, and a good closing paragraph that summarizes it all and leaves the reader wanting more.

Here's another pup picture- the princess of my house, Ollie. The most bull-headed little doxie you'll ever find:

I'm an over-thinker and an analyzer. If I try to create the "perfect" post every post, I'll probably never be satisfied, and I'll lose interest. I'm gonna do this instead: thirty days of FB posts to establish the habit.

Insert third photo here because blog posts should have lots of photos, right? Here's sweet little Jack. Timid, snuggly, and sweet except where small critters are concerned:

That's actually a lofty goal for me--thirty days of daily blog posts. Can I do it? We'll see.

If you've made it this far, whew! For the effort, here's a final photo--my closing, so to speak. It's a never-before-seen photo of Roscoe and Sara, the most famous podenco we know. This was taken when we made our whirlwind trip to New Hampshire. He so wanted her attention, but he was young & wild. He'd already pestered her too much, and she was having none of him.
