A Good Friend….

My sweet friend, Sandy, took time out of her morning today to drive me and wait while I had my first ever colonoscopy. I love you dearly, Sandy, and I thank you for taking care of me today.



As for the procedure, it was fine. The doctor found and removed one polyp, which will be sent out to the lab. I’ll get the results in a week or so but don’t expect it to be anything.

Thank you for posting this. As a survivor of stage 3c colon cancer, I appreciate you sharing that you had this routine procedure. I don’t feel like much light is shed on colonoscopies.

Well, I complained of bleeding for 7 years to the assorted military treatment facility doctors I was assigned to. I was told since I had children it must be hemorrhoids but no one took a look to make sure that’s where it was coming from. I was Dx anemic and Rx iron supplements. Meanwhile I was bleeding so much I had to wear a feminine pad, for my bum. When I was 49, I herniated a disk in my back and was Rx some potent pain meds and I got such abdominal pain I thought the meds were eating a hole in my stomach. My doc sent me to a GI doc and after several tests for lactose intolerance an…
