The Hubby and I are leaving for a quick getaway Friday. It's been a crazy busy year for both of us, and some together time with different scenery is just what we need. Plus, he has an unused airline ticket from last year that is soon to expire. So....we're going West!
We're flying to Las Vegas but not for the gambling. Sightseeing is what's on the agenda. Depending on what's open, possibilities include the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Death Valley. We'll decide when we get there. Two not-so-interesting notes: first, the airline ticket Hubby didn't get to use last year was for the Las Vegas trip I took with my youngest son, Seth. Chevy was old & unstable in the back end, and we decided it was best if one of us stayed home with him. And second, last year's Las Vegas trip was where my love of succulents & cacti was born. I WILL come home from this trip with a plant, hopefully something I don't already have.

I am so thankful for this trip with my sweet wife! I just hope I get to come home - may not be room for me with the succulents on board! Can't wait!!
