Bill & Ted & Rufus have settled and/or are settling in for a good sleep.
Rufus settled first. He traveled all over the enclosure looking for his spot and finally settled on the top of the bin.
A day and a half later, Bill chose his spot...
Ted was the smallest when I found them, and he kept eating for another half day. Finally though yesterday, he picked his spot. He's curled and frozen in position, and I imagine by tomorrow, he'll be covered like the rest.
When next we see them, they will be beautiful Black Swallowtail butterflies. Isn't life amazing??! Sleep well, little guys. And thank you, Bonnie, for all the info, advice, and guidance.
Cool stuff. I have a milk weed patch in my backyard and marvel at everything from the monarch egg laying to the newly “hatched” butterflies pumping their wings up.
Can’t wait to see them enclose!!🦋❤️🦋
