Hands down, the hour before sunset is my favorite time in my flower garden. The sun shines through so pretty, the temperature has dropped, the fountains are splashing, the cicadas are singing, and the hummingbirds are flitting all around.
I haven’t got to spend a whole lot of time here this summer, but I was very fortunate this evening to be here.
This area is new this year. Jamie and I spent a whole weekend a few weeks ago on this project.
It extends all the way to the end of the carport.
I’m thrilled and excited that I’m finally gonna get a flower on my Night Blooming Cereus!
And speaking of evening blooms, the first Moonflower of the season opened.
I added this beauty this evening: Russian Sage. I’ve been searching for it since Spring and finally came across it this afternoon at the Home Depot. Isn’t it gorgeous?!
And this lovely is my Platinum Blonde Lavender. Can you guess why I had to have it?
The sounds of my garden are as lovely to me as the sights. Here’s a little video for you…
Ugh….never mind. The blog app compressed the video so much, the quality is horrible. Y’all just come visit one evening and experience my garden in person.
ETA: I deleted the app loaded version of the video above and re-uploaded using my computer. Quality should be better.
Looks beautiful and tranquil. enjoy it. ❤️
