The Grand Adventure

Writer: adrianneadrianne

Now that he can see and walk, Kevin thinks he’d like to explore his world a little bit. So today, instead of falling asleep while feeding, he decided to go on a walkabout. Cameras were there to catch the adventure.

But when AdventureTime is over, there’s no place like Mom to feel safe and secure for a nap.

I can‘t see the cage because I can’t take my eyes off your beautiful coffee table ♥️♥️♥️

I would love to visit but don‘t know when I will ever be able to travel. I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery 9 days ago. Then there is Al’s Parkinson’. He does not want to travel anywhere for anything these days 💔

We will start mid-May acclimating him to the outdoors in what’s called a “soft release”. It’s a 3-4 week process, but hopefully by mid-June, he’ll step out completely on his own. And though he will have bonded to us, he won’t have imprinted on us. Squirrels easily revert back to their wild nature when released.

It’s amazing to see how fast he’s developing. Kevin may come back to visit you after his release!

I hope he does. Or at least, I hope he makes his home where I can catch a glimpse of him now and again.
