I hope they make you smile too. From my garden...hummingbirds!
Since I enjoy watching them so much, I'm trying to learn a little bit about them and how to attract more to my garden. I've learned that my feeders are too close together; they should be spaced at least 10-12 apart to allow shy birds to a chance to zoom in for a sip without immediately being chased away by a bully. (And I do have a bully.) I put three of the feeders close together amongst some flowering vines thinking they would share and I would have more photo opportunities. Nope, I've just made it easy for my bully bird to sit on his vine perch and watch over three feeders at once. I've also learned the feeders need to be shaded so the nectar won't spoil on super hot sunny days. So I have a project for tomorrow.
Other visitors to my garden include:
Georgia River Cruiser dragonfly.
The Latin name for this next visitor is Fruiticus Nutimus Maximus, but you can call him Roscoe.
They make me smile too! I viewed these in full screen. Images are spectacular, including Roscoe.
